First Speckled Trout

The Wood family joined me for a great day on the water. We fished Bay Eloi where Patrick caught his first speckled trout. A beautiful 2 pounder. We filled the box with specks reds and some puppy drum. We came home a few short of a limit but an overload of smiles and pride.

The rigs in Bay Eloi are on still. 2 feet under a cork in most places. Carolina rigs in others. Gulps Alive is working best under a cork. LIve bait is better on the bottom. The rocks seem to have gone "boom or bust". Great days and then nothing.

Call 504-BIGFISH and get your kids on the water or take some time for yourself and friends. We have accommodations right at the Breton Sound Marina. Wake up and walk to the boat.
